Elements and Performance Criteria
- Plan and prepare for service and maintenance of conveyors, feeders and hoppers
- Obtain, interpret and confirm work requirements
- Access, interpret and apply documentation required to service and maintain conveyors, feeders and hoppers
- Identify, address and report potential hazards, risks and environmental issues, and implement control measures according to workplace procedures
- Select and wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work activity
- Obtain and interpret emergency procedures, and be prepared for emergency situations
- Coordinate activities with relevant personnel prior to commencement of, during, and on completion of the work
- Inspect and prepare work area in coordination with others
- Carry out isolation and lock-out of all equipment according to workplace procedures
- Carry out service and repairs of conveyors, feeders and hoppers
- Coordinate with others prior to commencing and during work activities
- Carry out inspection of conveyors, feeders and hoppers, fault find and report outcomes to relevant personnel according to workplace procedures
- Select and operate servicing and maintenance plant and equipment
- Carry out servicing and maintenance of conveyors, feeders and hoppers
- Dispose of waste, including used oil, lubricants and other materials according to workplace procedures
- Return and secure all tools and re-usable items
- Process written maintenance records according to workplace procedures
